K1 PYP Transdiciplinary Theme --sharing the planet

 

“小朋友,你都认识哪些动物?你最喜欢的动物是什么?它喜欢吃什么?”等等,在这些问题性的引导下,小班幼儿展开对动物的探究。

“Children, which animals do you know? What is your favourite animal? What does it like to eat?” And so on, under the guidance of these initial questions, K1 Kids explore the topic of animals.

 

动物是我们人类的朋友,它们和我们的生活密不可分,它们和我们一样具有珍贵的生命,是自然界不可缺少的一部分,是幼儿日常生活中长接触到的事物,喜爱动物是幼儿的天性。孩子和动物之间,似乎有着天然的联系,千变万化的动物世界总是能够引起孩子的注意。孩子们总是充满了对不同种类的动物的好奇心与探索兴趣。

Animals are a valuable friend to human beings. They are insperable from our lives. Animals have a precious life, just like us. They are also an indispensable aspect of nature. Animals come into contact with children in their daily lives, and it is natural for children to feel close and attached to animals. This natural connection between children and animals, the ever-changing animal world is always something that can draw the attention and focus of children. Children are always full of curiousty towards animals and have interests in learning about the different kinds of animals.

 

每个动物都有适合地居住环境,孩子们通过课程的探究和了解,亲手制作了动物大环境,看看他们多专注、多用心!

Every animal has a preferred environment. Through the exploration and understanding outlined in the course, the children have personally created animal environments. We are able to see how focused and dedicated the children are!

 

动物的生命循环总是充满了神奇与变化,这一阶段孩子们了解动物有胎生、卵生,每个动物的成长过程都是变化着。孩子们学会了爱思考,拥有的问题也是百花齐放:毛毛虫为什么会变成蝴蝶?我们展开了探究与讨论。

Animal life cycles are always full of magic and change. At this stage, children understand that animals can be viviparous or oviparous, and understand the growth process of animals. Children learn to think and love animals, and consider further important questions such as ‘Why do caterpillars become butterflies?’ We have started the inquiry and discussion.

看,孩子们在班级里还饲养了小动物呢!

Look! The children still have their small animals in the class!

 

人类对动物的生存环境有着密不可分的影响。在日常生活行为中,我们应该学会保护动物。在此,孩子们通过“护蛋活动”感受责任感,利用小小的活动反射出大大的意义。看看我们多小心翼翼保护着蛋宝宝。

Humans have an inseperable influence on the living environment of animals. In daily lifebehaviour, we should learn to protect animals. Here, the children feel the sense of responsibility through the “egg protection activities” and use small activities to reflect on the significance of human duty towards animals. See how carefully the cjhildren protect the eggs.

最后,孩子们通过近阶段对动物的学习与了解,一起走进动物园,与动物近距离接触与观察,共享和平世界。

Finally, the children walked into the zoo through the learning and understanding of the animals near the end of the unit, and they were in close contact with the animals to observe.
