以研促教,教学相长 —园本教研 To promote teaching by researching,  enhancing both students and teachers -  Kindergarten-based teaching research

1.幼儿电子成长档案

Documenting children’s

growth through 

e-portfolios

激发能动性,引导幼儿掌握学习方法,是老师们重点关注的。在本学期我们重新修订幼儿成长档案政策,由Sarah和孙梅老师主持会议,重点研讨如何利用TODDLE平台更好地呈现、记录、分享幼儿学习之旅。

Stimulating initiative and guiding children to master learning methods is one of the key concerns of teachers. This term, we revised the policy of students e-portfolios, which document their growth. Teacher Sarah and May hosted the meeting, focusing on how to use Toddle platform to better present, record and share children's learning journeys.

2.探究六步骤 

The inquiry cycle

探究是IB课程的主要教学方法,很多班级都用探究六步骤来呈现班级课程的探究足迹。为了加深老师们对探究六步骤的理解,尤其是新教师,IB PYP协调员酉老师和Sian组织了本次教研,从是什么、为什么、怎么做三个维度来进行分享和研讨,提升教师们对IB课程的的设计与实施能力。Inquiry is a key teaching method in IB education and many classes use the inquiry cycle to present their inquiry footprint. In order to deepen teachers' understanding of the inquiry cycle, especially for new teachers, the IB PYP coordinators, Teacher Betty and Sian organized training. During the training they shared and discussed the three dimensions of what, why and how to implement inquiry,and guided teachers to improve their ability to design and implement the IB curriculum.

3.成长共同体 

The growth community

为促进教师的专业成长,学校成立教师成长共同体。从老师们的兴趣和困惑出发,开展不同专题的教研活动。课程协调员酉老师和Sian组织了解读2020版《IB项目实施标准与细则》教研;魏燕萍和母荣荣老师针对如何撰写论文进行研讨;姚苏容老师主持STEM专题教研。老师们以研促教,共同成长。In order to promote the professional development of teachers, the school established the teacher development community. Based on teachers’ interests and confusions, they carry out teaching and research activities on different topics. PYP coordinators Teacher Betty and Sian organized a meeting to help tachers understand the 2020 IB Program Standards and Practices;Teacher Wei and Natalie discussed how to write professional papers; and Teacher Bella led the STEM teaching and research meeting. Teachers promote teaching through research and grow together.

—新生家长IB工作坊

Establishing the learner community - new students' parents IB workshop

家长作为学习者社区中的重要成员,和学校、教师、幼儿一起共同为实现培养目标发挥着协同共进的作用。为了搭建家校沟通的桥梁,增进新生家长对IB探究课程的理解,由课程协调员酉老师和Sian主持了互动、体验式工作坊,通过头脑风暴、游戏、小组合作等方式,让家长了解IB课程的历史,加深对课程核心元素玩中学、能动性、探究学习的理解。

As an important member of the learning community, parents, schools, teachers and children play a synergistic role to meet the training goals. In order to build a bridge between family and school and to promote new parents understanding of IB inquiryeducation, PYP coordinator Betty and Sian held an interactive and experiential workshop. Through brainstorming, games and team cooperation, parents understood the history of the IB curriculum , the core element of learning through playing , children's agency, and learning through inquiry.

教育是一个“生命影响生命”的神秘过程,在维多利亚学习者社区里,我们会继续以幼儿的学习为中心,协同共建具有能动性的学习者社区。

Education is a mysterious process of  "life affects life". In the Victoria's   learner community, we will continue to focus  on chidren's learning and work together to build anactive lear-ning community.
